  • Hi from Brisbane

    Hi guys

Just doing the usual introduction...I'm from Brisbane, Australia.
Have always had a general interest in pool; even as a kid I built my own pool table from a large piece of chipboard and covered it with an old curtain, and used practice golf balls for the balls!

Have recently got more intersted in it, thanks to my impulsive nature and playing Ronnie O'Sullivan's Snooker on my mobile phone.

I now have a nice cue, visit the local pub a few time a week to play against myself or others (but $3 a game does add up) and would really like to get my own table, but I don't have heaps of room in my house (see my post regarding folding tables).

Have also purchased "Precision Pool" because it looked the best book available here.

I have not played it but enjoy watching snooker because it seems like the "classical piano training" of cue sports. I like Ronnie O'Sullivan, and of course, being an Aussie, Neil Robertson.

My aim is to generally improve my pool skills.

    Thanks
    Kendall

              hey kendell,
Im living in new zealand at the moment but up untill about 6 months ago was living in burleigh on the gold coast, i searched around for ages for a deacent place to play and practice and pretty much came to the conclusion that joining an RSL is the best option, i joined the southport one for like 20$ and once i was a member i could use the snooker tables as much as i liked only had to pay for lights which were about 1$ for 30 minutes, not sure if the pool tables worked in the same way (only really play pool when im on the booze).
3$ a game in a pub is ridiculous youll go broke before you see any improvement from practice at those prices

im also a big neil robertson fan, hope he can find some form in a hurry or he'll be out of the top 32 next year

              Craig.
              New Zealands biggest snooker fan
