I'm glad to see a community like this exists for snooker. I fell in love with it when I was 14 and my Dad was first teaching me to play pool after we found out he was ill. He told me it was like making a camp fire, something fun to do but also a good life skill to have(he used it to help feed my mom and sister before i was born after he lost his job). Bit of a paraphrase but you get the point.

So I spent a lot of time with him learning to play and having fun, but this club he belonged to had a huge table hidden back behind the 3-cushion tables that I was always curious about. I asked around and found out it was a table for this game called Snooker :snooker: None of the old men that hung around knew how to play the game so being a resourceful kid I looked up the rules and some videos online. So when my Dad would scare up a 3-cushion game I would go hit up the Snooker table and play on it until the club closed down and I got kicked out.

Almost seven years later I still want to play snooker but I've been without access to that table for 3 years and as far as I know it's the only one in the state. I've tried my best to find one but most people in the US sadly have no clue how wonderful of a game it is, or that it exists Sadly I cant afford the club membership, but I can atleast hop online once in a while to talk with people who love the game too =)

The northwest in Washington. South of Seattle... I've thought about getting a passport and seeing about jumping borders to find a snooker table but I have no clue if Canada is much into the game either >.< Making a day trip to find a snooker hall in another country could be... interesting. o.o
