    How we doing....

I'm what you could call a newbie to this site....

I played Pro from '92 through to the end of the '94 season. I wasn't good enough to make it all the way. My highest ranking was 274 after 3 years playing competitively. I loved it & it made a man out of me.

I still love the game, keep a close eye on it, but have some what become disillusioned with the way the game has gone, the rep it now has & where the game is going (Asia I think). Not that I mind it heading to Asia, just what are the people doing running the game these days doing about it?

As said, I certainly don't mind sharing the game but hey, it's well & truely fallen of its perch. It's the players & fans I feel for.

    Yours in Sport,

    John From London Town MBE
    Ex-Pro, 1992 to 1994

Hi john and welcome to tsf!
I'm sure even back then when you were pro it was tough then, but full respect to you for giving it your best shot! No pun intended by the way

Hi CC. I don't play much now. I used a Maple 2 Piece with a Rosewood butt, 22 ounce, I always preferred the heavy cue. I still have the cue. I'm waiting until my son is tall enough to introduce him to playing the game though I explain how things work, from a rules perspective now.

                        You.....?

And may i ask what the MBE means?
Is it "Member of the Order of the British Empire"?
I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...
