Of course, feel free to ask.
I spent many months up in the Norbreck Castle hotel, in Blackpool. I have a lot of good memories from there.
When I played, there were 10 ranking tournaments proper, then some spin offs like the Stachan, which had 4 tournaments, if my memory serves me right, for players outside the top 32. For most of them, you played 10 qualifying rounds before you got into the 1st round proper, which was either the last 32, 64 or 92, depending on the tournament set up. The furthest I got was in the Asian Open, which was the 9th round. I got battered 5-0 by the way, after my opponent, who I will not name, needed two Snookers in the first frame, & one in the second, & I still managed to get beat five zip ! I was told by Frank Callan that I was playing 'Over 18's' Snooker & would be hard to beat. How I got beat I still wonder, I was playing real good Snooker....
After that, I hadn't had a beer in 6 months, promptly when on it for 3 days (I was gutted to say the least), my then girlfriend came up to try & get me back in shape, I played in the Dubai Classic qualifying, the morning session I might add, played some of my best Snooker ever, went 4-0 up in no time, my opponent came back to 4-4 & missed a black of the spot to beat me 5-4. I potted the black & went onto the 5th round when I got beat 5-3 after being 4-0 down.
Trials & Tribulations I tell thee....:snooker:

OK, your first question, What's your real name?
My real name eh? Hmmmmm......Thought about that, but I don't think that would be the right thing to share. I prefer to keep that to myself for the time being & see how things progress in this forum, hence the pseudonyms used in forums. Let me see how the trust operates on this forum as I have also just started to use this forum.
Your second question, What tournaments did you enter?
I entered all of the tournaments, 3 years on the spin.
Your third question, How did you turn pro back then?
I had a backer at the time (money matches), who learnt that the WPBSA had opened it's 'doors' to all Amateurs & you could turn Pro by paying £700 I think it was & then paying £100 per entry per tournament, + vat & £250 into the World's, + vat.
Do you play yourself? If so, please share. Let me know how you get / got on?
Thanks,

Thanks Mr Snooker.
Someone has already asked me for my name which I declined on doing. Forgive me for my lack of trust, but I only joined up a couple of weeks ago & I want to see how things run for the time being. I've also funny enough received private posts advising me to keep my name under wraps. I'll take that as good advice for the time being.
Let's have the criác for the moment & see how things go from there.
Thanks for the post.
