I am looking to buy a new cue. I have been looking at Riley Cues and there tip
is 9.5mm. I can't find 9.5mm tips. What is the best size of tip for a 2 1/16 inch
ball?

I don't understand 9.5 is a good size for snooker.
You buy a bigger tip and cut it down after you stick it on. Use the search and you should find a guide to tipping cues.

Look on e-bay. I got a box of 25 Elkmaster 9.5 mm for just a few quid.

I preferred Blue Diamond. A softer tip. It depends how you hit the ball bullseye. I always found, for more effect, the smaller the tip the more reaction you got. I used a 9mm Tip. Bear in mind, I also used a heavy cue, 22 ozs

Yeah, I think the same. But with smaller tips you get less precision either.

Well, as everybody knows, tip size like any subject related with cues is a question of personal preference. That's it.

you don't find 9.5? I do use a Talisman 9.5 and the Elkmaster I used with my old cue are 9.5mm too.

I personally use a 9.5 mm tip, which works fine for me, I'd advise any player to become very accustomed to the tip size until you change. Having practiced with my friends cue (9mm tip) lately due to mine 'breaking' I'm going to go down to that tip size when I get my new cue. Very accurate as long as you concentrate on hitting the ball exactly where it needs it.
