My guess is it will be either Selby‘s fifth or Trumps second crown.

Robertson for me as he's been very quiet this season, saving himself for sheffield I believe.
Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair

Selby or Murphy for me, outside bet Bingham.

Would rule out Ronnie because he's been poor most season and his cue issues and alteration he had done, I think he's not happy with it, suspect he'll be changing cue for next season.

Also rule out Trump, got the toughest opener in McGill but his decision to take a 10 day break in New York and only got back at the weekend is just not enough prep. He'll lose first round if McGill plays well.

I think it's the most open it has been for a while. Murphy the man in form but not a winner for me. Mark Allen's gone off the boil after a great first half of the season. Selby Trump, Robertson all in and out, Trump looks vulnerable again, Robertson has been poor and who knows what Selby will turn up. Ronnie, who knows but I think it could be the beginning of the end for him. MJW and Higgins, MJW could win it as could Higgins but like Ronnie I think the end of being an elite player has come for Higgins. Could be a second tier top player(if that makes sense) this time around.
I honestly can't pick one, hope its Higgins but I doubt it very much.

Is Murphy playing the same player he complained about being an amatuer and shouldn't be allowed to play in a pro event after he knocked him out of a tournament?

                yep that is the one
hence SM's comments this morning and also his other comments since; like he said he went away, did some research and looked into the amateur scene and then made statements apologising for his first comments, etc.

Edit post option is not working in this thread. I just see the quote option. It's not the case with other threads.

maybe because it is a vote type post.

                    I see edit.

Selby has the most votes so far, followed by the thunder from down under and the rocket.

I must add that if the weather is damp and the tables play on the heavy side then Allen and Trump will suffer as they always do in heavy conditions. Could open the door for Ronnie as he simply shrugs it off but as cueman says he has cue issues, Selby doesn't mind heavy conditions, will bore the arse off any opponent in order to win, Milkins a dark horse to reach the semis ?
