For me it depends on how 'generous' the pockets are this year and if the refs have the balls to call out deliberate slow play.
I've a feeling for a left hander and he could be chinese, but my hope is for Wu Yise to get it together for longer than the first round where he should beat Mark Williams if he's still having problems with contact lenses.
Ronnie with a new cue ? made a rather tasty 147 in Saudi last week, and he's done it before, so many variables but I'll stick with Wu
Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair

Zhao Xintong - would be an awful day for the sport but seems inevitable now.

I really wouldn't be surprised if one of the Chinese players got up. But my money would be on Trump

Conditions are often crucial at WC, last year the tables were tough, I agree with Vmax, this is so key to the players who are more than likely to go far because of their patience and will to win, Jak.Jones capitalised on that last year.

So if conditions are similar, the match up between Higgins and O'Connor is intriguing. I believe if O'Connor can get through that, he has an excellent chance of reaching the semi final. He's my dark horse this year, I've always felt his game and mental strength will lead him winning it one day.

Other than that I think if form is anything to go by, Kyren and Selby should reach the semi in the top half. I think the winner comes from that half of the draw.
In the bottom half I think if Murphy gets his game back, he's probably got a great chance too. The bottom half is really tricky to call though, that's why I give O'Connor a great chance.

I too think Joe o'connor has a chance, players like him and Jak Jones, who seems to play really well at the crucible have the game to win here, so maybe Mark Selby could go one better than John Higgins and win a 5th!?

I think this Worlds has a fair bit of excitement buzzing around it, there's the old school and the new skool vying for victory and I hope there's some real sparks flying this year!

It seldom disappoints this great centre piece of snooker, let's hope it's majestic! 😉
