  • PL Final predictions – Important!

    Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen.

Kellie-text and I have just visited the Wythenshawe Forum to collect our tickets, and important information has transpired concerning the Premier League FINAL.

We now understand that the final will be best-of-13 and not best-of-11 as anticipated.

Therefore, I have put the following arrangements in place:

You may predict, on this thread, the Final based on best-of-13, or on the other thread based on best-of-11. If you predict on both, then the correct one will be valid.

If you predict on only one thread, which turns out to be the incorrect one, these will still be valid, but I will add or subtract one frame from both sides (unless you predict 7-0 and it is best-of-11).

So if you predict 3-6 and it is best-of-13, I will consider it a 4-7 prediction, etc.

Here is the draw, BEST-OF-13, FIRST TO SEVEN

Ronnie O'Sullivan v. Graeme Dott, OR
Ronnie O'Sullivan v. Jimmy White, OR
Steve Davis v. Graeme Dott, OR
    Steve Davis v. Jimmy White

Remember to predict the highest break of the final:

    Here are kellie-texts:

    7-4 Ronnie O'Sullivan v. Graeme Dott, OR
    7-1 Ronnie O'Sullivan v. Jimmy White, OR
5-7 Steve Davis v. Graeme Dott, OR
7-4 Steve Davis v. Jimmy White

    highest break: 119

(PS I am happy to go with my best-of-11 predictions, adjusted if necessary.)

          OBJECTION!!

I cannot agree with the format. I waited for the decision to be made how many frames will be played in the final. Everyone who predicted on best of 11 should predict again.

Oh now I'm confused - I thought it was now confirmed the format will be best-of-13 and not best-of-11. But it is still unclear which format it will be?

You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman
