I don't think anyone can Force someone to play in a particular tournment, but he might be in a 50/50 situation or bit more favour for the UK, My guess would be he gets some benefit for going to Asian games

you are wrong guys, your cases are certainly true for ding, but not for Marco,
if he can win the Asian games, that'll be a real honor for him considering he'll probably have little chance of winning the UK, and he said earlier, if these two tournaments clash, he'll represent HK for the asia games without hesitation, unlike Ding, who said he'll want to play in the UK instead.
i guess since he's the defending Asian Games Champion, there's not too much for him to prove there, he has a much brighter future here in the UK...Comment
