  • UK Round 1 – Results

Below are the results of the First round Prediction Contest.

Please check your score (and anyone else's as you wish) and report any discrepancies WITHIN 48 HOURS of the date/time displayed at the top of this message, by replying on this thread. Remember the scoring is 2 for correct winner and result, 1½ for result one frame adrift, and 1 for correct winner only.

You are reminded that queries raised more than 48 hours from now cannot normally be considered for alteration.

Congratulations to Alex0paul for winning the round. I think it could be classed as a runaway victory for a round of this size.

Also please note that the following gained an extra point (not shown below) for correctly guessing the highest break, which was 131: cap, dantuck 7, Valderie.

I'm not sure whether I have 12 or 13,5 points, but at least it's a decent result.

David Gray made a 146 today but it was in his second round match. I think 131 was the highest of the first round. I may be wrong so don't take my word for it!

By the way, I didn't predict 131, in case your wondering!

Yes of course, you're right. In which case I'm pretty sure you're right with the 131. In any case, the high-break predictions are at work so I can't check them till morning.

If the HB is 131, I got it spot on. First time ever.

To be honest I didn't hope to see myself THAT high in the table... because the predictions were so bad. so must say I am happy with that

You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman
