    UK Round 2 – current standings

    I wouldn't normally do this but, since it is a Friday with no play and the second round will not be completed till Sunday, I thought I'd give you the current standings!

    They are arranged alphabetically by Predictor, so don't assume that because you're near the bottom you're not doing very well (although in my case, that is so).

    You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman

      Oh my! I have never even come close to winning one before! Fingers crossed!

      Does this include the (provisional) high break bonus?

          No, the Round Winner does not include the break bonus anyway – that only counts towards the Overall Tournament.

          (The reason is that you could get 1½ points for the final, plus high break, and win the round over someone who gets the full 2 points for the match.)

          I will not be checking the high-break bonuses until the highest break is known (what's the betting the 146s will be beaten?)

            I don't see you doing bad in this round Statman. especially compared to me I should retire from predicting anyway, goes worse and worse

                No actually, it's not as bad as I thought. Because mine were the first predictions on the list, I marked mine first – and thought the result was not that good, but as it went on, I found a few others below me!

                Anyway, your name begins with A, so you don't look so bad. The top 4 seeds will sort it all out.
