  • UK Quarter-finals – Results

Below are the results of the UK Quarter-final predictions.

Please check your scores (and anyone else’s as you wish), and report any queries, on this thread, within 48 hours of the date/time displayed above. You are reminded that queries raised after this time cannot normally be considered for correction.

There was a two-way tie, which was resolved in the following way:
Number of matches in which points were scored: this was of course equal.
    Total frame difference:
    Ginger Freak: Ding 8-9 (3), Higgins 9-3 (0), Davis 5-9 (1), total 4.
    chasmmi: Ding 6-9 (1), Higgins 9-4 (1), Davis 7-9 (1), total 3.

Therefore, congratulations to chasmmi for winning the round.

Please note that pat39 gained a bonus point (not included below) for correctly predicting the highest break of the round, which was Joe Perry’s 128.

If it wasn't for Ronnie I'd probably have at least 1 point

But better luck next time then
      You can't always win.

        yay near the top
You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman

          I believe I predicted:

          Ebdon 9-6 Ding
          Higgins 9-4 Perry
          Dott 9-7 Davis

and so should have 4 and a half points. I may be wrong though.

Alas, no. You predicted 9-6 to Ding, not Ebdon.

I was greatly assisted by having only three matches; and two of them were one-sidedly predicted – the Ding match incorrectly and the Dott match correctly.

In fact the UK is one of the easiest ones for me, where each round takes at least two days. It also means that the quarters are over before I have started driving to wherever it is.

                          Sorry Mr Ginger!

I have just had to alter the scores, as chasmmi's score was incorrect and he tied with you. On the tie-break, he won!

Would someone pleas check my mathematics.

Careful, you might damage the table!

Very unfortunate timing; if you'd been two minutes later you'd never have known (considering I published the results at about 10:30 last night).
