I don't know if anyone else noticed this before but when Ronnie was using Talisman tips (since after the 2006 WC till the 2007 WC), he hardly ever checked the tip and now he's using one of Mike Wooldridge's supertips (a great tip IMO) and he keeps looking at it every second shotGive'em hell, Mark :snooker:

MON Ronnie!
First of all, thank you for that link which wasn't from Betfair or Bet365, it's been awesome.
The match wasn't spectacular, both in itself and in comparison with the first semi. Quite a few misses from both of them when in amongst the balls, some kicks at crucial times - Joe's in the decider is definitely the biggest one - , some fluffed shots that the player had got away with, some outstanding pots and safeties - Ronnie's position on the brown, the consequent pot and the pink he got to clinch frame 1, Joe's long red to the yellow pocket in the first part of the match, again a pink to the right centre with the white on the cushion from Ronnie in frame 5, if I'm not mistaken - decent scoring, with two centuries and a number of 70's and 80's, good atmosphere.
My feeling was that Joe was in a slightly better form than Ronnie, especially during the first half. Succeeded in levelling the scores each time and made big breaks. Ronnie, on the other hand, refused (almost) all long pots and favoured safety shots, got a couple of great ones, presented Joe with several chances and pounced in the decider when it looked like Joe's.
Based on current form I'd make Selby the bigger favourite for the final. I do hope for a close match, though.
And the touching moment:
Mr. Goldstein: "Ronnie, what you wish for your birthday?"
Ronnie, barely audibly: "Happiness."
Crowd and BC: "Aaaaaaawwww!"

Fantastic display by Selby tonight. Hendry only had a couple of chances and that was it.
Anyone got the final number on Selby's pot success rate? It was 96% last time i've seen it in the 3rd frame, I think. I wonder how it ended. 97%? 98%?2008-09 Prediction Champion
