Below are the provisional results of the Quarter-final Prediction Contest for the Shanghai Masters.

There was an eight-way tie for first place which was resolved in the following way:
Number of matches with winner correctly predicted:
cap, Maija and pat39: 4;
austrian girl, JPK123, Nina, RaNeN and Stunshot: 3
These top three were then separated by total frames difference between actual and predicted score:
cap: total 6 frames’ difference;
Maija: total 9 frames’ difference;
pat39: total 8 frames’ difference
Therefore, provisional congratulations to cap for winning the round.
Note also that Graemespeak gained a bonus point (not included below but marked with a *) for correctly predicting the highest break, which was Dominic Dale’s 127.
