Below are the results of the Second-Round Prediction Contest for the World Championship.
Please check your score (and anyone else’s as you wish) and report any queries within 48 hours of the date/time displayed at the top of this thread. Any queries raised after this time will not be considered.
A quick reminder of the scoring: 2 points for the correct winner and scoreline; 1½ points for correct winner and scoreline one frame adrift; one point for the correct winner with other scoreline.
There was a four-way tie for first place, which was resolved by looking at the number of correctly predicted match winners:
berolina: 5
edinmis: 5
dinocally: 6
Mr Snooker: 6
The remaining two-way tie was broken by looking at frame difference between actual and predicted scoreline for correct-winner matches:
dinocally: 16 frames' difference
Mr Snooker: 10 frames' difference
Therefore, congratulations to Mr Snooker for winning the round.
Please note also that Alex0paul, bobbond, Caroline, dantuck 7, Ellena, elvaago, fudgeflaps, Kathrin, kellie-text, Marc, Mignon, Miss S, Monique, Nina, Odrl, rambon, RaNeN, snookersfun, snooky147, Stella147, The Boss and The Statman gained a bonus point (not included below but marked with a *) for correctly predicting the highest break of the round, which was Ronnie O’Sullivan’s 147.
