    Grand Prix – Prediction schedule

    This is the approximate schedule for the Prediction Contest of the 2008 Grand Prix.

    Please note that, owing to the random draw taking place to determine pairings, the Prediction threads for the second round and the quarter-finals will be open for less than the usual 24 hours before the deadline.

    Also note that each round has a different deadline time.

    All times are BST.

    First round:
    Thread opens: Monday 6 October 2008
    Deadline: Saturday 11 October at 12:00p.m. (noon).

    Second round:
    Thread opens: as soon as the random draw for the round has been made.
    Deadline: Wednesday 15 October at 2:00p.m.

    Quarter-finals:
    Thread opens: as soon as the random draw for the round has been made.
    Deadline: Friday 17 October at 1:30p.m.

    Semi-finals:
    Thread opens: by 12:00p.m. (noon) on Friday 17 October.
    Deadline: Saturday 18 October at 1:00p.m.

    Final:
    Thread opens: by 12:00p.m. (noon) on Saturday 18 October.
    Deadline: Sunday 19 October at 2:30p.m.

    I think I'm going to have a problem with this one Statman as I go away early on 15th October for 3 weeks!
    Never mind, it'll give everyone else a chance!

      You can always get someone else to do them for you, or even give me blanket predictions like 5-3 for every match! This has proved rather successful in the past, with IIRC someone getting second spot by this method in one of the rounds.

      PS I think this schedule may be wrong. I will post again if it needs correcting.

        Please note corrected deadline for the first round, being Saturday 11 and not Monday 13 October.

        My apologies for this error and my thanks to kellie-text for pointing it out.

          I may not have access to online from thursday till friday evening. have you still got the same mobile number? Also dont know how to be informed about the draw. Hope its on ceefax when I am abroad. Will ask otherwise Kellie to text me the draw.
