  • UK Round 1 – Results

    Below are the results of the First Round Prediction Contest for the UK Championship.

    Please check your score (and anyone else’s as you wish) and report any queries within 48 hours of the date/time displayed at the top of this thread. Any queries raised after this time will not be considered.

    Please note that the Perry-Davis and Carter-McCulloch matches have been excluded from the contest, since they were not played to a conclusion.

    A quick reminder of the scoring for these longer matches: 2 points for the correct winner and scoreline; 1½ points for correct winner and scoreline one frame adrift; one point for the correct winner with other scoreline.

    There was a three-way tie, which was resolved by considering the number of matches in which the winner was correctly predicted:
    Goldspark: scored for 10 matches;
    pekmez: scored for 10 matches;
    Ellena: scored for 11 matches.

    Therefore, provisional congratulations to Ellena for winning the round.

    Please note also that Goldspark, JiangYu, matoski and snooker warrior gained a bonus point (not included below but marked with a *) for correctly predicting the highest break of the round, which was Mark Selby’s 139.

            I don't want to be pain in the ass, but i predicted cerrectly 13 matches. Also i predicted the correct scoreline betweem lee and hendry which was 9-7, and i have 3 matches with one point adrift, which are Murphy-Gould, King-Trump and Williams-Selby. So, i should have 15.5 points without the correct highest break. Statman, i will start to belive that you hate me for some reasons

              Statman, I think my score should be 15 1/2, not 13 1/2.
              From my calculations i predicted 13 correct winners, 3 of the scorelines where 1 frame adrift and 1 scoreline was correct.
              Please check my result again

                Were the Carter-McCulloch and Perry-Davis matches removed from the contest?

                  I forgot to mention that the Perry-Davis and Carter-McCulloch matches were excluded from the contest, since they did not reach the scheduled conclusion.

                  Does this explain your query, matoski?

                  Edit: ... and Miss S? – your post wasn't there when I started writing!

                      Now it's clear. You forgot to mention that those two matches don't count.
