I fancy Ding to win it. I know he has some tough competiton but I think he has it in him if he can keep on top of his game. Plus he will want to make his country proud so that should motivate him further.
I would like to see Mark Williams win, it might put a smile on his face. His recent "return to form" seemed to slip somewhat when I watched the first round though.
If I was putting money on it Rocket Ronnie would be my pick if he can restrain himself from being an idiot. He is bar far the most talented player in the tournament and has the ability to win it easily. His attitude stinks, thats the problem.
I presume you all only want one suggestion so I'll go with Ding Junhui
Although Higgins is an awesome player. Something tells me he won't defend his title. Theres other players that are sooo keen to take it from him. I know he's an awesome potter, one of the best the game has seen and he can keep his head really well. I just have this feeling it's not John's year
I am a big fan of Ding. He was in complete control of the game today against Pettman. 8-1 up, there is no way he is going to blow it from there. I am backing him to go all the way and win the tournament.

I didn't get much chance to watch it as I'm at work. I'll catch it on Iplayer some time over the week. I seen he was 6 - 0 up at one point and was not surprised.
I also want to congratulate the BBC on their sterling coverage this year. BBC2 coverage as standard, Iplayer, Red button and you can watch it live online at bbc.co.uk\snooker.
It's hard to miss any of it with all those options avaliable
