Below are the provisional results of the Second-Round Prediction Contest for the World Championship.
Please check your score (and anyone else’s as you wish) and report any queries within 48 hours of the date/time displayed at the top of this thread. Any queries raised after this time will not be considered.
A quick reminder of the scoring for these longer matches: 2 points for the correct winner and scoreline; 1½ points for correct winner and scoreline one frame adrift; one point for the correct winner with other scoreline.
There was a two-way tie for first place between gby4 and Odrl. This was resolved by looking at the number of correct match winners:
gby4: 7 (Only Higgins v. Davis incorrect.)
Odrl: 6 (Higgins v. Davis incorrect and Maguire v. Dott.)
Therefore, provisional congratulations to gby4 for winning the round.
Please note also that nobody gained a bonus point for correctly predicting the highest break of the round, which was Mark Allen's historic 146.
N.B - It should also be mentionned that only Anastasia managed to correctly predict Steve Davis defeating John Higgins.
