Below are the results of the Semi-Final Prediction Contest for the German Masters.
Please check your score (and anyone else’s as you wish) and report any queries within 48 hours of the date/time displayed at the top of this thread. Any queries raised after this time will not be considered.
A quick reminder of the scoring: 2 points for the correct winner with correct scoreline; one point for the correct winner with incorrect scoreline.
Quite a lot of people predicted the semi-final matches as the best of 9 instead of best of 11, so I convert their predictions to best of 11 (for example 5-3 I took as 6-3 ...)
There was a three-way tie for first-place between HunRon, gazza147 and Odrl which could not be resolvedby looking at the frame difference between predicted and actual results, so it was resolved by looking at the HB differences:
HunRon 42
gazza147 43
Odrl 59
Therefore, provisional congratulations to HunRon for winning the round.
Please note also that nobody gained a bonus point for correctly predicting the highest break of the round, which was 88 made by Mark Williams.
