It was coming that fluke I guess. First Selby putting the black safe unintentionally then Yan almost had the cue ball in-off and knocked the black safe unintentionally.

I didn't mean that to sound like criticism of Lisowski, he does have some decent results in the last two seasons to keep him in the top 16 (the final of the China Open most notably), but it's still a huge difference between drawing him or drawing Bingham in the last 16 at the Crucible, even though they couldn't be closer in ranking points. Same thing with Mark Williams at number 3, I'm sure whoever draws him in the last 16 or the last 8 will feel like they could have got something a lot tougher.

Two years ago many would probably have said the same about Williams though. :-)

Anyone else think yan bingtao as young as he is has reached his peak as a player and won’t go that much further , just doesn’t score well enough in the balls , you can only ‘ cat and mouse ‘ with safety and snookers for so long , got to put blocks of frames on the board over longer session matches .

So far he has made 75 centuries on the tour. There hasn?t been a lot of players on 75 at that age, so if he continues the way he started, I think he has a great career ahead.

he reminds me of players in those q school matches where the matches drag on til about two o clock in the morning , he should practice with ding to pick up some tricks .

Not sure who is worse ,Perry or Bingham ,neither have any idea how to commentate ,we don't need to hear them babble on before during and after the shot on every shot .they should watch some old footage when Jack Karhnam was commentating, who in my opinion was one of best .Ken Doherty is good ,talks when he has to and seems to read the game well ,not very often he calls it wrong .
