Yes, Jack forced a decider from being 9-6 down. Hats off.

I didn’t think he would attempt that blue! Tricky shot just knocking them in on the practice table, probably a 7/10. But with pressure that would have dropped to a 2/10 at best. Great shot! Deserved the win.

watched the conclusion on my IPad with the BBC Commentary .......and the last time I will be doing that . The commentator is quite simply shocking , I’m cringing every time he speaks . He brings absolutely nothing to enhance the coverage whatsoever. Who on earth tested him prior to this needs his head shaking , the guy clearly knows nothing about snooker . The BBC need to pull him from his duties. I seriously think people will turn off rather than listen to him .
Even the wife commented on how annoying he was! And she rarely watches snooker.

Yes I thought he would play safe on the blue. There was a possible double kiss if he played safe. Maybe that led him to take the pot on.

I can't make up my mind, was it stupid, or brave? Hats off to the man, that was one ballsy shot under the circumstances. I bet Jack didn't think he'd take it on, must've been a bit of a shocker for him when it went in.

                  The fast and the furious,
                  The slow and labourious,
All of us, glorious parts of the whole!

Yes it is Dave Farrar..... Trying too hard to be like Ted Lowe.

                    • Dave Farrar seems like a nice guy from a video I saw of him at a boxing match in Vegas and definitely a boxing pundit of some measure but I wish he would talk more about what is going on during the frame and predicting what the player is thinking. Other commentators started like that but have settled in so I wish him luck and he should focus on the shot by shot analysis which is what viewers are most interested in.

This would have been a golden opportunity to have retired players as guest commentators and even increase them to more than two. Most are probably remaining at home for the majority of the time and will have an internet connection so would have probably been up for it. I would love to hear commentary from people like Cliff Thorburn and Ray Reardon during a world championship match. I wouldn't even care if their signal dropped out now and again and the BBC could still arrange something but with the lack of spectators and earnings it's probably out of the question.

                      • john parrott provided all the on table analysis a viewer needed , farrar was only secondary so the criticism is a bit silly tbh .

                        • Far from it Trains ........listen to the commentary .......his input is totally irrelevant to what is actually going on . He half finishes sentences . A very , very poor commentator .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

ok neil each to their own , imo parrott is one of the best so it makes up for any shortcomings , i was so glued on that last frame i didn't really care about farrar , any experienced bbc commentator is enough for me , and anything without david hendon just in my dna i suppose endlessly waffling on about peripheral stats and raising his intonation like its relevant to the scene , could never stand the guy lol

I think it was nearly the only choice. I could really see his brain working: "I don't want to take this on." But there was no obvious safety. "So much can go wrong with this shot as a safety, if I don't hit it exactly right. I have to take this on."

Happy for McGill to come through, but also disappointed for Jack. As I like them both I would feel for anybody who lost, but 9-10 is always cruel. However I also think that McGill deserved it a bit more. Was the more settled of the two players.

It was a bit of a shocker for me, how on earth did it drop after hitting the jaw at that speed, once again the pockets are too generous. Lisowski just doesn't have what it takes at this stage of his career, he needs to learn quickly, but in fairness he had more than his share of bad contacts on vital balls, the kicks lottery continues, but that was an easy snooker escape that shouldn't have taken five attempts.
Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair
