Wow, well played Kurt. The first upset so far at the main event. Higgins v Maflin next.

I wouldn’t say the warning was ridiculous. In fact I’d have been surprised if he hadn’t been warned. It’s not what we want to see in snooker, is it?

his temperament was fine , she warned him earlier about missing the reds a third time and lose the frame and he produced a really gutsy and great pot of a red , unlucky to finish out of position , i think thats the best i've ever seen maflin play , fairly long time coming though tbh , hope he plays that well again .

It's also giving a lot away about his temperament which could come back to haunt him against John Higgins.

Thanks for the link to the video and fair play to him for getting so close to a maximum and I can understand the frustration but I've never seen a player react like that before so he needs to consider how his temperament gives a lot away to other players. It's like that saying 'a bad workman blames his tools' and I'm not saying he played badly because he got as much running side on the cue ball as he could but the angle just wasn't there to clear the yellow. It happens and players channel their frustrations in a more subtle and constructive way.
