Well, so far none of the top players are really playing world-class stuff, but we kind of saw that coming. It should get better in the later rounds. Trump himself played pretty poorly in the first two rounds last year, then thrashed everyone from the QF onwards. :smile:

Looking forward to the one table setup and how it will affect the players with no crowd but I noticed when Mark Selby won his match he looked at someone far back in the auditorium so not sure who that was.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but what kind of betting odds are going on? Anything worth a punt? I don't normally bet on sports but might have a flutter.

I believe it was to his wife, just like Trump you heard a single person clapping when he made the match safe, assuming it was his brother who he also waved at at the end .

I've been watching on the bbc website when i'm not at home. They seem to have full coverage of both tables. I was at the snooker club yesterday, and they inexplicably decided to put the football on when Judd and Ronnie were both playing. Lucky they have wifi so I could follow both matches on my phone

Yes he was. If Yan, having got perfect position on the yellow, hadn't messed up yellow to green, causing him to mess up position on and consequently miss the brown, then 10 - 10 at the interval might have been a very different story. Very nice brown and blue from Judd though.

I was very impressed with Yan's attitude, coming back after his awful morning session, he showed great heart, just not quite enough skill.

If the rest of the session is anything like this first frame, I might switch to cycling instead. :wink: Ding can't play a safety or a long pot to save his life, and O'Sullivan looks like he can't really be bothered.
