Well, that was pretty nervy stuff tonight. Williams back to the kind of form we saw from him in the rest of the season, and O'Sullivan frustrated with himself that he wasn't able to get anything going, despite Studd's idiotic commentary that he looked "ice cool" tonight.
Honestly, it will be really tough for O'Sullivan to get past Selby in this form. Williams usually plays right into his hands, while Selby does the opposite, and I just can't see O'Sullivan winning that match if he is missing the kind of balls he was missing here. Needs to find something, otherwise it could be really one sided.

That was a rather bizarre compliment Ronnie paid to Ally Carter in his post match interview. "If I played anyone like Ally Carter or above and they played well they'd probably take me.""Kryten, isn't it round about this time of year that your head goes back to the lab for retuning?"

Personally, I think Selby's good form was overstated by the likes of Dale in commentary, but if the match turns into a giant grind with both players struggling, there is surely only one possible winner.

It's funny, I'm just looking at the stats now, and O'Sullivan actually made five centuries in this match. Just goes to show how much the game has changed in terms of scoring, because that used to be a big deal in the past, even from the very top players, but now we see players doing that all the time even when I personally think they are not playing that well. Of course it's also a testament to O'Sullivan's scoring prowess that he is still making the big breaks even with all the nerves and the frustration.
