He's (almost) 4-3 up now from 3-1 down, if he qualifies he gets a 2 year tour card so fingers crossed.

no because he's hardly won a match this season , he'd have to make the semi finals to render his two year invtiational card invalid , he'd then be a top 64 player again starting next season .
or if he was a losing quarter finalist at the crucible this year he'd get 50k ranking points and prize money which would qualify him high enough on the one year list to get 2 years from now .
if this was the end of his second year which it isn't he'd have to make at least the quarter finals .
