Was it Neil Robertson who got three snookers not long ago and won the frame. If there is a red on it's fine playing on, one snooker and a free ball from it and your back in the game. Three snookers may seem a lot of points but it's not really.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

I know we are all human and moods will effect our view on luck and the way we play, but I think the trick is to try and remain neutral and always remember that luck is generally a 50-50 ratio in matches. So if you think that way its amazing how many times luck turns around and evens out.

If you have decided everything has gone against you in the first couple of frames and its just not going to be your day.... it 100% will not be your day imo.

      • WTF Is Quest TV up to, I watched some of the afternoon match yesterday and after the finnish they said back at 6.45 well he's said that every day this week and it goes over to Eurosport, but last night I didn't change channels and Lo and behold Trump Vs Grace came on at 6.45 Excellent, In for a night of snooker. Was watching and it was 3-1 Judd Interval came so did adverts then F%^&ing wheeler Dealers came on.

What the F^&k was that all about, how can they just switch like that during a match, It would be better showing F^^k all.

        • I've not been able to get Quest channel for months but I moved my aerial yesterday to improve reception for another Freeview channel and noticed this morning I now have a very strong signal with Quest so I can watch todays final. What a result. Not seen any of the tournament so far so don't know how they are playing but hoping it goes to a final frame.

Very annoying to not be able to see a match to the conclusion with all the channels available. Something similar happened recently when I found a channel that was showing a Bruce Lee documentary and it was full of footage I had never seen before so was gripped but with about 30 minutes to go according to the TV guide it went to another commercial break but then stayed on the channel homepage so had obviously gone off air during the programme. Very annoying and that hadn't happened since about 10 years ago when a Freeview channel would have a schedule that went beyond the airtime of the station so a film could suddenly be cut off because the station has gone off air. I think it was Bravo channel but still watched it despite that because it had some good shows.

Don't get me wrong trains, I've got nothing against people playing for multiple snookers, but it's just not Ronnie's style, don't think it helps his natural rhythm.

Spot on CC. Luck, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. If player A goes in off, is it bad luck for player A, or good luck for player B? The answer is of course, both. It is also worth remembering that generally speaking, apart from pack splits and kicks etc, luck only enters the equation when you mess up your shot. If both the object ball and cueball end up where you intended, Lady Luck will have had no opportunity to wave her wand. Best way to avoid bad luck, get your shot right.

Also there might have been some settling the scores in that 99 crucible qf as o sullivan got beat with a session to spare by parrott at the crucible in 94 where parrott said afterwards ‘ the crucible separates the men from the boys ‘ , o sullivan had only just won the uk a few months earlier as an 18 year old so it was like an invite for payback .

The post was more my lament that the ever immaculate fergal o brien wasn’t playing yesterday instead , i know you're a keen viewer no worries

                        • Does get better- Ronnie could chose not to spoil the end of frames and the flow of the match by playing for 9 snookers.

                          • Ronnie misses too many easy balls these days ,as great as he still is ,I think Trump will be too strong for him .

                            • I predicted 9-6 to Trump but tbh I do think Trump is too strong for O'Sullivan. I know the latter won the WC but his form over the past year aside from that hasn't been good by his own standards. I can see Trump doing a bit of a Masters final-repeat if he wins the next frame.

                              • Finally a century, very naughty snooker from Trump from the yellow on. I just couldn't see the last pink he potted in the middle, although I was watching the screen!
