i really think unless Ron can even the score a bit and he continues to meet Judd and lose, this will eventually (sadly) push him into decline and possible retirement. It has to happen sometime, its only a question of time, but id love to see him push Judd a few more times yet! there isnt enough epic matches between Titans in this game...

I think we have seen quite a few Trump - Robertson and Trump - O?Sullivan matches in the last year or two. At the moment it doesnt get any better.

I agree. I don't think ROS likes competition in his face. It wouldn't surprise me if that's why he always downplays everything after speaking with Steve Peters because in his mind, it takes away intense pressure.

I think ROS just has to try and steal as many titles as possible and hopefully (for him) pick up enough to be just beyond Trump's reach, at least in the majors. I'm confident Judd will get over 40 ranking titles so that record is more likely to go.

Yep, thats a great rivalry too, id just like a few more to be this standard and closer. (Big ask i know)

I was hoping Robertson would have been that person to push Trump but his consistency hasn’t risen to the same level . When he is on his game though he can easily give Trump a run for his money.
O’Sullivan v Trump now is like a passing of the guard similar to when O’Sullivan played Hendry towards the end of his career.

I have not played on Rasson, my opinion is based on the last few years I've seen Rasson at the CoC. It plays better than Star. Not sure of its long term durability though.

It reminds me a bit of Federer trying to hold off Djokovic and Nadal back around 2010. He was the established GOAT but they would beat him in most of the head to heads and would win most of the Slams/tournaments. Federer had such a big lead on them though, and was really trying to pinch a tournament here and there just to keep out of their reach for a bit longer. He ended up winning 4 more himself but ultimately he's been caught by Nadal and will probably be by Djokovic as well soon.

I can see the similarity here. I think ROS really needs Robertson and Selby to keep their standard because below that there really isn't anyone to stop Trump consistently.

it had to happen some time, looks like its now. Rons achieved everything I hoped to see from a peoples champ type player. Like watching boxing though, you never want to see your hero pummeled into submission, a few more close battles before the white flag would be fitting to their great rivalry before its over.

yep, thats what i noted Frazz saying too, however lets bear in mind Frazz has only played on tournament Star tables professionally set up and maintained throughout a competition. I think a different story emerges in a home set up when conditions heat and temp wise are not consistently maintained. A solid Aristocrat wins with less maintenance in a long term set up, ie home practice situation, over a Star.

I'd buy a Masserati Gran Turismo if someone else would look after it at their cost for me...
