I’ve always admired Barry’s technique . I was lucky enough to be able to see him practice at a club regularly about 20 years ago and his technique hasn’t changed since then . It’s text book stuff and even Ronnie has commented on it.
I hope he turns over Selby .
Cracking snooker behind the black from John but to no avail, big trouble now at 5 - 1.

He was gracious in defeat and smiled and congratulated the young Chinese lad . John is a class act , no storming off like some bad losers at the pinnicle of the game

Hmmm, wonder which skinny lover of fast cars you might be referring to?

The fast and the furious,
The slow and labourious,
All of us, glorious parts of the whole!
Spent my life out in the country. Was a mole rabbit and rat catcher for years. Retired now.
I'm jealous now, my Dad was evacuated during the war to the country and I grew up with home made bows, fishing rods and catapults, all of which got me into a fair bit of trouble in a garden in Essex... maimed my sister twice, once with a bamboo stick arrow that I was aiming at the back door in the garden....just as she opened it... missed her eye by half an inch. And another episode after watching David and Goliath where i had masterfully tied two pebbles to string and was deftly spinning them around my head when all of a sudden I realised the pebbles were gone,,,, the next thing I hear was the patio doors glass breaking and my sister screaming as she sat on the sofa covered in bits of glass... I would have been a lot less harm in a field!

I noticed that and all the more because of the green he missed to throw the match away. Zhou gave him the thumbs up but John made a point to go over to him, touch elbows and congratulate him. I've always liked how gracious John is in victory or defeat.
Yes , pity about Barry, he always is in the last rounds of the Crucible with the longer format , seems to have gone off the boil slightly in last season though , Would love to see him win another tournament again, Hope Ricky Walden wins his next match , that dodgy disc in his back problem must have put him through hell in the last few years.

I knew an elderly gent who used to occasionally play pool with Ricky, said he was a great bloke but crap on the small table. Would be nice to see him go through, but I think he'd have to play out of his skin against an off colour Trump. Not impossible, but I won'r be putting my house on it.

FYI - for those watching BBC you can watch table 2 via the BBC Red Button channel - BBC RB 1 (Sky981)
you don't have to press the red button, just change channels - record, pause, etc. all work
