Dom's Welsh, probably a 'lost in translation' thing.

      • So is this finally the season Zhou Yuelong will make another significant step? Honestly I'm awaiting this since almost four years.I always felt that he was maybe the most complete player of this young chinese guard, only lacking a bit of scoring power and, most important, self-confidence. I think once he has some feeling of success this could further spur him.

        • I forget who said it but yesterday someone in the studio said Stuart Bingham had popped in to say hello earlier in the day when they were off air and it made me think what a sound bloke Stuart is.

          • Kurt Maflin storms to a 2-0 lead against Kyren Wilson. The Norwegian really is full of confidence since his great run at the World Championship.

there are a few of the Chinese guys on the cusp of a breakthrough I have felt for a while. Thought when Yan Bingtau won in NI it would be followed by others. They are getting more savvy re ringcraft and defensive play but still nobody doing the business. What s missing , They need more experience ?

Kyren responds with a pair of 132s and a 98 percent pot rate. Your move Kurt.

                • Really enjoying the commentary from Davis and Hendry in the Selby v Vafaei match as they are not talking all the time and it's relaxing.

we can talk about breakthrough's like maguire's at the uk or murphy's in the world's but i'm not sure these players overly need a breakthrough when they're getting all the word you used ringcraft they need , and that word can be a bit unrealistic when there's so many good players now , jack lisowski has been a pro for about ten year's and has never really made any comparable breakthrough , and just to use more seasoned pro's like hawkins or perry their record in terms of tournament wins over the last decade is very modest , i'd say ' breakthrough ' now is regularly being a last 16 or 8 player in tournaments as opposed to the nineties when the ' big three ' o 's williams and higgins broke through .

also ding's 2005 uk championship win fell conveniently for him , by comparisons to today his run could be seen as a bit of a cakewalk .

Agreed , shame the match is bad ,Selby going into bore everyone to death mode again ,he bores himself to death also .Selby plays better when he’s faster ,he’s not doing himself any favours being this negative .

Agree with this about Selby. For all his tournament wins, I always remember this shot as one which sums up the problems he gives himself when he over-thinks things

LOL Don't know what's got into you these days trains, you used to be a nice quiet mild mannered chap, but now you're like a rottweiler with a sore tooth. Hard to disagree though.

and as i'm posting joe perry is 40 behind with 43 on looking to claw back to 4 - 5 , its like they subconsciously want someone to takeover custodial rights of their tv and internet access , like it was 1982
