      • Brilliant clearance from Ronnie to take the 7th, 4 reds on cushions, all nudged out perfectly. Strange but interesting match this.

        • That roll up to the yellow from Li looked to hit the D marking and roll back? No wonder he was annoyed!

Cue ball wobbled where the slates meet, table fitters fault, no wonder he lost his rag, run went against him the last half of the match. Ronnie almost had the same with a green but cue ball just made it. Sublime clearance from Ronnie in the seventh, must have a good tip by now, his fourth I think. best of luck to Jamie tonight, I won't be watching though Selby isn't it
Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair

              • Selby will go through tonight IMO. We will see a re-match of the WC match between ROS and Selby I think.

This seems to be an ongoing problem with slate joints ,the reason being Chinese slate is crap ,it’s too soft and in large pieces prone to movement .Tables may be set up fine from the start but a slight shift somewhere can cause a ridge between the joints ,couple this with the ultra fine thin cloths and you soon have problems .

                  • Strange I thought how the commentary team didn’t pick up on this? Especially after we saw this happen in the UK! They obviously haven’t sorted the table out from the last tournament?

                    • Maybe the commentators have been warned not to ‘slate’ the table.....

                      • jamie cope had the same problem with the slate and the same shot against john higgins at the crucible i think in the noughties , i think that was with the riley aristocrat , just saying .

Don't think all chinese slate is crap and soft. I've never noticed any difference when I've played on the Star match table at my current or previous clubs.

                            • Li Hang hung himself , throwing toys out of the pram does not win games, good luck to Jamie , hope he does it this evening , Ronnie will probably have a Big Mac n Fries delivered between the 2nd and 3 rd frame of the final
