Please feel free to delete this if I’m missing an existing one somewhere, but I couldn’t find it.

Anyway, I only came to moan as per usual and say how much Kryten Wilson bugs me. That interview he just did. He always sounds like he’s fishing for a pat on the back, always stressing hiw much he’s ‘sacrificed’ and how he wants his kids to grow up knowing it. Listen, you’re not some humanitarian or aid worker saving lives, you decided to make snooker your career. You’re being paid an awful lot of money for playing the sport you love. Get over yourself!
"Kryten, isn't it round about this time of year that your head goes back to the lab for retuning?"

that was an enjoyable match, 15 out of 15 rest shots for Kyren - impressive
Gary not on form, maybe the last minute travel did not suit him?
?15K (minus levies) coming his way at some point - it's a hard life
    Up the TSF! :snooker:

Gary was already there playing in the Champions League when he was told of the situation with Trump and Lisowski so last minute travel wouldn’t have been a problem. More likely lack of practice. He struggled in the league matches and was really unhappy with his form. Lost the plot a couple of times.

What is the percentage of tax that is deducted?

Kyren wilson strikes me as the classic example of a realistic english player to make it into the game , brought up in a pro snooker catchment area , propelled by his parents , they probably saw an opportunity to make a killing with him , he’s probably been schooled in how to interview and how to talk to people from quite a ways back , i don’t really see much appeal in watching him but then i think the same about most other top ranked players too , yes he also gives off a bit of a vibe of someone about 40 years older than what he is , you wonder about the appeal of this game at times .

drink up and enjoy yourself trains ! don't think the UK is breeding snooker players like race horses or greyhounds yet though , sounds a bit like the Russian gymnasts pulled from the womb and dropped in a gym instead of a cradle !! Kyren ain't that bad FFS I admire the way he gets great recovery pots when he loses the white ball ( which has a mind of its own ) frequently he loses the white but he gets some amazing long pots JV was astonished by a long pot into the bottom left pocket yesterday , so were we all

Maybe Billy He wants his Kids to grow up not to expect anything for nothing, and that a bit of hard graft has to be put in to get anything back.
Snooker is a game of simple shots played to perfection, Joe Davies

I'm sure he does, but he still sounds like he's expecting some kind of award whenever he spouts his moral BS.

In other news, Bingham dodged a bullet there. Didn't really deserve the win after taking such a liberty with that max attempt.

I know it is difficult to see sometimes on TV but has MJW got a titanium ferrule now?

Does he? Hard to tell from the TV screen, I guess. I had the brass ferrule of my cue replaced with a stainless steel one after it split from a bad shot. Feels great, I gotta say.

Apart from that... would have prefered a decider, but nice clearance to win by Smurfy anyway.

Shaun Murphy looked mighty relieved to actually get through a first round and actually beat a highly rated player. There was a close up of MJWs cue tip and the colour did look a bit silvery but as you say the tv colour spectrum is not reality

                            Brass I think.

It was a shame Un -Nooh lost to Bingham ,he’s one of the few players that is great to watch ,if he could just sort out some of his strange shot selections he could be a big hitter in the game .At 35 years old he needs to knuckle down on his bad shots ,as he’s a handful for anyone when he’s on it .
