People who watch this so called snooker should be ashamed,
the event should be banned. And as for women in snooker wanting equality and to be treated the same as the men... Why is it in tennis women play best of 3 sets and men play best of 5 sets? Why isn't that brought into line if the women are comfortable (and willing) to be playing at men's level. And there's more examples too!

Because women are so bad at multi tasking ( they cant have children , rear them look after a home and hold down a regular job at the same time ) In fact the women are given a SPECIAL PERFUME TO WEAR by World Snooker that makes men drowsy so their opponents wont play well against them . Also there is a special switch that slightly tilts the slate bed when the man is taking the shot and sets it back level again for the women. Now after reading this I think its time you put on your pink pinny again and your pink rubber gloves and go and clean the toilet again, Run Along ! theres a good fellow

Some people may find this a bit strange /annoying in todays world but, one of my local social/workingmens clubs , that also plays in our local league, does not allow women in the games room, so the women/girls who may have an interest in snooker or darts cannot play, or watch a game, even if they wanted too, they have got to stay in the best room and play bingo.

I remember an English athlete (forgot which 1) saying "We just want treating fairly, not preferential treatment" so step upto the plate, and sexism will always exist like it or not.

If they have a canned audience there should be some weird noises in the background , at least there won't be gob****es standing up and spilling plastic cups of tepid beer on everybody around them. Hope some unknown wins it or somebody who needs the points to stay on the tour , bit of a freak circus but amusing ( we need a bloody good laugh FFS )

Yeah , I can't be arsed with this but like you I hope someone who needs it wins it.
I hope any youngster or lady entrants also do well, encouraging the spread of snooker to everyone, everywhere, is good for the whole game.

I am so lucky that the former womens world number 2 lives down the same road as me. She was around the same time as Alison Fisher and she said they had a few good battles! Its a shame she had to retire young due to health reasons but despite that, she gives me a great game and has really helped me develop too. I'd love to see more women in the game, especially the first woman walking into the Crucible. I still feel it may one day happen and hope it does. Meanwhile, its great to see the ladies in the Shoot Out regardless of what I think of that particular tournament!

Yep, a lucky man indeed, that’s what I like about the shootout, not the format but the fact it gets to a wider audience which can only be a good thing if you are a true fan of the game.
