I had checked on wst.tv his name was last listed in Dec'20 at the World Grand Prix.

Maybe they are not mentioning the qualifying matches now. Thanks for the confirmation.

Delighted for him , he was even a bit worried about dropping off the tour , Selby has enough money anyway

Seconded, didn't watch a ball of this farcical snooker but heard he won, proper snooker starts next week again.

Not really my cup of tea this type snooker ,but I can see the idea of it by trying to get ranking points for players that we don’t see much of ,but on the flip side it’s not really a ranking event as it’s not proper snooker ,either way once a year is enough .Watched quite a bit of it this time but wouldn't have been too bothered if there was a power cut .

Yes, he is too good to fall off the tour. Currently at number 32 in the rankings.

Never really watched much of this tournament in the past, but did catch quite a bit over the last few days, and I must confess I really enjoyed it.
The lack of a crowd was a bonus, ever other year they seem to be under the impression that they are the stars, the piped in reactions were a bit OTT, and I felt, unnecessary.

What the tournament did provide was entertainment - you got a look at a large number of players, who normally have to ply their trade away from the TV tables, and in this format I think they were able to demonstrate just how good your potting and cue ball skills need to be in order to get on the circuit.
The twists and turns that the shot clock introduces, and the ball in hand penalty mean that this is not "proper" snooker, but getting to see 4 matches each hour, all of which could go either way, certainly makes a change from seeing the same faces week in week out, and does not hurt for a single tournament.

Lots of Judd Trump for you to salivate over

I agree, take away the moronic drunks in the audience and it's good entertainment. To be honest I think the rule where a ball must be potted or made to hit a cushion on every shot should be brought into the general rules to stop the petty roll up snooker.
Next stop the welsh open, can Judd win away from Milton keynes ?
Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair
