Well that makes a change, normally me backing someone is a curse.
I agree all new blood in the game is good for it, if he can inspire a few more to play the game in France because of his exposure in this Tournament,it has to be a good thing.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

ooh actually that’s quite a big thing then for Maguire, no one wants to get beat with one of their own cues.

Dom will be smiling like a shark if he plays well and takes a lead.

Unfortunately for him, he played more like a Guppy, plenty of chances too.

i think we can infer from this that chaperon probably speaks french https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7y7hIubPCA whether he's french canadian or not i can't clarify but as the name chaperon is french and i think less commonly british i'd guess the answer is likely to be affirmative that he is indeed french canadian

...maybe Stephen has a chance to buy his cue back

Yesterday he played with the one he won the Tour Championship 2020 with but sold to a fellow snooker pro (who's in lockdown so he agreed to Stephen having it back).

well the only thing i got was the post match interview where higgins says for about half a second ' your french ' , did you actually know he spoke french ? it seemed a lot less apparent than with robidoux , robidoux's english seemed clearly second language but not chaperon .

Very odd. You'd think he'd stick with the cue that brought him success wouldn't you? Snooker players and their cues.

Have to say its great to see the guys at a different venue, I know from what we see it could easily be the same place but the back drop of Celtic manor and few different views makes for a welcome change!

Kryten Wilson seems to have had another nose bleed, but this time caused by the COVID nurse! Oh dear

Sad but has to be said, this forum has died. We have the Welsh open on, there are some good matches and nobody it would seem can be arsed to post on this broken forum.

oh well, that’s me done too now.

tbf Cue crafty when i joined this place what was it in 2010 the event threads were clogged with posters with massive ' signature's ' is that what you call it , and their posts were so vacuous it was like clicking into a creche , maybe its to be expected or unfair to expect anything else of a consuming public though as there is quite a huge gulf between pro snooker and high street clubs , maybe its best just to keep a dignified silence and just let things transpire , they'll be back if you do , i dunno .
