It is bleak atm but I'm hoping that the current owners will sell the place to someone who gives a toss and the more members we still have the more likely that would be. OK, it's the deciding frame, we need 7 snookers, but we've gotta keep plugging away, we're not out of the game yet!

hes playing with that free flowing devil may care attitude that makes him look very dangerous.

I wonder if he’s been speaking to Steve Peters! His patter in the interview earlier was quite Ronnie esque.

Was he talking in an Australian accent and droning on about ranking points ?

Ben Woollaston had Higgins By the throat and let him off the hook. He should have slow drag shot the white towards final green into the bottom right when it was begging to be potted . It would have dropped in or stopped at the pocket , thus hindering Higgins getting a snooker. I feel many players quake inwardly when Higgins needing a snooker against him . I was literally shouting at him to slow play it FFS ! the poor old dog woke up and started barking and her indoors popped her head into the door and told me to stop shouting !! The bloody lockdown is doing strange things

yeh, that was a real roller coaster match, Ben must have been gutted but your right he could have played that shot better.

I had my lockdown meltdown yesterday, been out of work 4 months now and was staring at the wall dribbling down my chin yesterday (hence being a tart)

I can feel the pain Dean - i've enjoyed all the posts you have sent from the previous venue, they really added to the experience of watching it.

Chin up, next year you will be back!!

interesting what Ron was saying about the conditions on the table today. I like his thoughts on heavier cloth etc echoing some of the sentiments you have mentioned about taking the game a step back. Seems to bring the old skill back to the game.

Edit: I see the error is still in place, eeek.
Broken yes, but i guess it still works if we are willing to try and maybe, just maybe they will fix it!! Wouldnt it be great if that happened in time for the worlds!

You know what, I am not willing to try anymore. I've been here for more than 14 years now, through all the controversies, through all the highs and lows, but this is definitely the lowest point in the history of this site. Not being able to post during the World final has frustrated me to the point that I made a conscious decision not to post on here anymore, and six months later absolutely nothing has been sorted. It doesn't take this long to set up a forum that works. In fact, it takes a weekend at most, so I find the suggestion that we just need to wait and hope for the best quite insulting. I feel for everyone who has stuck around and is trying their best to keep the site going, especially Dean and Neil, but I'm done supporting it. The reality is that the people in charge couldn't give a **** about the state of this site, otherwise they would have done something about it already.

Enjoy the Welsh Open. Should be a good weekend.
