More to the point, how long will Ronnie keep handing the games to Higgins with poor shot choice ?
Higgins is playing really well amongst the balls though but his life is being made easier . Not quite the final I was expecting atm.

Higgins owes Stu Green a very big drink.

Your spot on there ..... amazing isn’t , all those celeb coaches and it takes a simple observation to turn the game around for an experienced pro like Higgins .

Indeed. Frame 7 was one of the strangest I've seen in a while, what was Ronnie doing?

          The fast and the furious,
          The slow and labourious,

Some of those shot choices are plain daft. This is the spoilt kid side of Ronnie who doesn’t like to be outplayed, loses his composure and decides to play crazy shots that if he misses gives the frame away. It’s like he’s saying (without words) “I am not playing you on those terms” I’m playing on my terms and if win so be it” maybe it’s hurts him a little less that way...?

ive never seen another player though who gets angry with himself, plays crazy shots that throw the frame away, but then still just get down and knock a 144 in, like he’s in the form of his life...

Tbh , I think he has already decided against players like Selby and Higgins that he is going to do it his way or no way and so be it.
With your second point , it’s exactly this that makes him so dangerous and different to most players. The ability to put to one side any previous misses is a rarity in a player and makes Ronnie so dangerous. I guess by going for shots to try to force the game works against most players especially ones who are afraid of Ronnie but it doesn’t work so well when your missing them agoamst players like John especially in his current form.

It will be an interesting evening session . I hope Ronnie comes all guns blazing and gets a few early games to make it interesting .

It's a pleasure to watch John when he's amongst the balls, his touch is incredible.

That first session was about what I was expecting in terms of the scoreline. Though the level actually wasn't. There were were of course great bits of snooker, but also plenty of mistakes from both players.

Higgins is using an exquisite cue I believe. This title is his.

Exquisite cue to go along with exquisite match play thorough the tournament. John’s scoring was on a different level in that final , well deserved winner .

I guess this must be one of John Higgins best performances since the last time he met O?sullivan in a final (2005 grand prix).

Pure class, needed that, Higgins has taken some sore losses in finals recently.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

To loose only 4 frames out of 32 in the players championship is quite remarkable, not to mention thoroughly spanking ROS in the final.
I've often wondered how many more titles JH would have won if it weren't for 'you know what' in 2010.

I bet Jordan Brown feels a bit better now.
