Will be interesting to see how Jordan Brown gets on today against Higgins. Will he be able to keep up his top form or will he be knackered after all those one frame deciders?

hoping Jordan has a good showing, not a one-hit wonder
so people still view him as the under-dog here?

His eye twitch gets more pronounced as the inevitable Ronnie surge to victory becomes a reality . Even Ronnie said in his post match interview " he probably should have won more matches against me to be honest " . Hope Jordan takes the game to Higgins , it would be a big feather in his cap to survive the first round here today

          Jordan Brown: 0 - John Higgins: 6

          So much for that.

Tbh, I half expected that to happen after such a short gap between matches. No way is this a sign he won’t kick on .

Watched Judd v Stu last night, funny match, shame Stu couldn't quite finish one of his 147s.

Have to say, Judd's post match comments were utterly pathetic, he really does behave like s spoiled little brat sometime. "I missed a few and left him on, he missed a few and left nothing...." not a positive comment for his opponent throughout, and then bemoaning his luck over the last few years! Christ, I wish I'd had some of that bad luck, how many hundred thousands has he won in that time? Unbelievable.

I see Ronnie's got another buy into the next round It'll be interesting to see how Jordan performs in this one. Flash in the pan, or new dawn? We shall see Wednesday afternoon.

Those are such typical Trump comments. The reason I really don't like him.

It will be really interesting to see how Brown's career will now develop.
Honestly I don't expect him to be a consistent contender at tournaments now. It's rather unusual to suddenly become an elite player in the game during your thirties, though with the age of top players generally getting older it can become more regularly in the future. Barry Hawkins and Stuart Bingham have been two players, who late in their career made a huge step forward, but both had been perennial top 30 players before and on the verge of breaking into the top 16 (Hawkins had been inside them before actually).
Of course Brown had lifted his game this season a bit, as his quarterfinal at the German Masters shows and obviously such a win can give you a boost, but I need to see more good matches of him before he will convinces me.

I initially didn't like him as he was beating my favourite player ROS. Later, Judd's attitude/personality cemented my feeling. ROS is my favourite player but he is a ***** too.

                    I dislike them both.

I've got a bad feeling about this one, think Ronnie will chew him up and spit him out. Hope I'm wrong. Fingers X....

So Ding can beat Ronnie, then?
"Kryten, isn't it round about this time of year that your head goes back to the lab for retuning?"

When Ding beat O'Sullivan in an encounter of high class at the 2017 World Championship I thought now Ding could begin to play more freely against him. But unfortunately after that tournament his form decreased generally. (though he also beat Ronnie on the way to his UK title in 2019).
Their last meetings were all close though. Don't know if that's a good sign for Ding though. Winning one of those deciders would have been helpful.

As for today I think Lisowski will sadly have no chance against O'Sullivan.
Robertson - Wilson seems more promising.

6 - 2 to Kyren over Neil, bit of a surprise result for me, and for Neil I suspect, enough to make his hair curl.
