It'll be interesting to see if and how this youngster progresses.

boiko isn't anywhere near good enough to get into the top 64 or high enough on the one year list , same with filipiak its only the sorry and exclusive state of european snooker that he'll bounce back via the european amateur championships or the world snooker federation which appears to be based in switzerland and offers a place onto the tour via their yearly wsf open , the chinese billiards and snooker association tour seems to be ' where its at ' with good new young players , wish streams for that tournament were more available and better known .

You can't expect from a 15 year old to get into the top 64 immediately in his first season though. It's really to early to see where Boiko will be going at this age. He only won one match over the whole season, but again he is only 15. Maybe he will get one or another win next season, which he will also be on the tour thanks to the 2-year-cards.

kacper filipiak was given a tour card as a 15 year old and has done nothing in ten years , who is paying for him the polish government , his parents can't be pleased , it looks like you can't bypass a proper amateur system like with the chinese billiards and snooker association where their qualifiers are better equipped for the pro tour , otherwise it just looks silly .

I noticed that Mark Williams stormed out of the arena after losing 4-3 to Soheil Vahedi, he as been doing that quite frequently I notice, I don't think he even made eye contact with Shoeil or acknowledged him after the match.

I wasn't able to watch that one unfortunately, hellova result for Vahedi, he must be chuffed regardless of MJWs tantrum.

Turned out it was Eurosport having trouble with the fire stick, it was fixed by 11 last night, to late for the snooker though.

Does anyone know if, apart from against others with free passes on the tour, these are the first matches Jimmy White has won?

Well done to Jimmy White , after all his hard work a couple of good wins on the trot. Mark Allen is playing pretty badly , very lucky to scrape through . Hope Anthony Hamilton gets a long run , he deserves a bit of good fortune for a change. Delighted for the Sheriff

Hi Fraser , enjoyed your match against Lisowski , just an observation don’t take this the wrong way , maybe you could work on the psychology of potting balls when you’re in the ascendency , re the missed pink in the first frame , the missed black to yellow in the fourth , the missed blue splitting the pack in the fifth and the missed brown and red in the last frame , i know the brown was tough , otherwise your game looks very sound , nothing to choose between you and him , good luck .

A few days back, I read that Anthony Hamilton has retired due to double vision problems. Now, he is playing again. It's great that he is back. How did this happen? Another surgery?

I didn't see Ronnie in this tournament, did he chose not to play?
