Snooker Robot Mikee!!

To be fair to both players though, watching that game last night the table seemed to be playing very strangely. There were a few positional shots in particular where the white rolled off line down the middle of the table by at least a balls width! Also some of the cushion bounces looked suspect. Even watching the Bingham match when he slow rolled the white down the middle of the table to clip the edge of a red it seemed to roll away from the centre. I’d say World Snooker have done a pretty poor job of setting the tables up this year. Hopefully they’ll get the one table setup running better!

Yes there has been a few balls running off ,probably not as much as other events though ,think the fitters are on them 24/7 .That’s the trouble when you make tables out inferior wood that is not time seasoned ,it’s fast kilm dried ,Meranti is a fast growing Asian soft wood ,the Americans use it for back of furniture ,sheds ,window frames etc ,not exactly precision snooker table material .Slates they can’t do much about as the Slate found in China is soft ,that’s just the nature of what they have and can mine .Both these things are not exactly conductive to keep a level playing surface long term .

It's actually just quite painful to watch now TBH, every players nightmare what's happened to Neil this morning. When the luck continually goes against you it wears you down. Kyrens played well but largely because it's gone his way big time with the rub.

I guess Robertson watched the recording of Real vs. Chelsea instead of getting sleep after the second session last night.
It's the seventh consecutive year that Robertson fails to make the semifinals at the crucible (though at least four of those seven years he made the quarterfinals at least).

Wilson now has his third semifinal - the same total as Robertson.

Top sport is often decided in the head, especially in games as important as a World Championship quarterfinal. Yesterday in the evening both players, Robertson and Wilson were not playing very well and Wilson seemed to accept it better than his opponent. Robertson was just annoyed with it, while Wilson seemed to say: Ok, I'm not playing great, but I'll fight with what I have tonight. And this is what you have to do in that situation.

Of course such a bad luck for Robbo (potting a red after playing the split from the blue doesn't help him mentally).

Spot on i think , team wilson seem to have this crucible thing sussed , robertson seems to be a better version of the waldens and wenbos who look good but lack that something about them , its easy to say this after hes just lost but i never saw him winning this tbh

Well before Ronnie had this Casio he had an IWC Shaffhausen watch which costs around ?4k. I think the Casio is probably better for running purposes though.
