Ending 13-10 it didn't quite as tense as I had hoped in the end. Hawkins lost this yesterday, when he fell back 4-9 from 4-4.
For Wilson it's his sixth quarterfinal in a row.

Yes good performance from Wilson again it has to be said. Barry did well with a brave break that had a good few gutsy shots in it to put some pressure back on Kyren and make it 11-10 but two very strong frames in answer to that from Wilson sealed the win in confident style I thought.

I can't personally root for Kyren, but do feel if he goes on and wins this, I'll be applauding a great win that's born from a work ethic that's been built from hard slog , determination and learned lessons from past defeats.

This feels a bit like their 2018 final, when Higgins made too many mistakes early and his comeback came a bit too late.

Gotta just say , the thing I'm loving the most about these world's matches so far is, every single player here, has their game face on and are bringing their all for this championship. After all the " one after another" comps at MK, it's just so great to witness these longer matches and the challenges between players to fight for this wonderful major victory.

So... one Neil and two Marks are looking quite sharp, from all I've seen now. High standard matches so far, a joy to watch, I'm having high expectations for tomorrow, too.

I'm loving the match ups at this years champs. Selby vs Allen, Robertson vs Lisowski and O'Sullivan vs McGill Higgins vs Williams, something there for everyone. I was hoping Murphy vs Bingtao was going to be another cracker but Murphy is running away with it

Yeah it's bubbling up very nicely isn't it. And it has to be said, quite a few players will have an extra spring in their step, thinking their chances of winning it have just increased significantly now that ROS has gone, Murphy and MJW spring to mind.

It’s been a great championship so far and seeing the fans back has added to that . Personally I would love to see somebody new win it this year or Robbo for the second time .
It will be interesting to see if any of the big guns get dumped out before the semis.

well if you watched snooker when you are not being paid to waffle you would have seen many players many times that you have not even heard of!

nope cant stands any more, I will turn on the Eurosport Player and listen there, off with BBC - sorry but until they get rid of the old guard I wont be listening.

OK some ES commentators are not any better but shall I say "less annoying"

A bit disappointed that Williams - Higgins wasn't closer and also that Yan couldn't keep the first session close against Murphy. He really struggled at decisive moments. But I wouldn't rule out a comeback, as Murphy has had enough sessions in his career where he doesn't pot well and then things can go wrong easily for him as he hasn't a strong B-Game to rely upon. And Yan is the guy who probably could find his composure and make this a close match again.

It's ridiculous really isn't it, paying people who no longer even have an interest in the game BBC salaries to talk sh1te! Especially when there are people out there who are avid fans of the game and could do a better job.

And it made me smile when JH used his break of tactic they had a laugh. I'm stuck with BBC been watching Judd v Dave G since 10.00 right in the middle of a frame it's switched to Bingham Jones, WTF.

Stuck with BBC like you are its a pain in de hoal to listen to commentary and having games cut short. I have the sound turned down . They should hire Dominic Dale full time for the BBC commentary and dump the drudge . Its time to clean the swamp as Trump ( carrot head ) used to say. I predicted McGill had a "steely determination" and would give Ronnie big trouble. I believe Yan will make a comeback and beat Murphy. Gilbert will drift further behind sadly.

I think it would help things if the bbc posted which commentators were doing which matches like you get with american sports , it would give you time to prepare and get a sense of what to expect , i'm long used to knowing that the old guard dont watch much snooker but they still describe the shots well , my issue is just avoiding rob hogwarts walker
