As for Kyren Wilson I really think he has to become stronger mentally.
He first almost let his semifinal win against McGill slip away from him last year.
Then in the final he was close to O'Sullivan until 8-10. Then Ronnie had one or two flukes and also started to use his chances better and Wilson kinda abandoned hope and didn't win another frame.
And today against Murphy felt very similiar to last years final.

Every player on this forum knows how Stuart and Kyren both feel now. Hard lines guys ! I feel they both fought well, but in snooker maybe more than other games, momentum is such a strong factor and the world's format makes this even harder to overcome but also sets it apart from any other tourney. May the best man win!!

I expect Selby to take down Murphy in the final. 18-13 is my prediction. I doubt Murphy can replicate that and over 4 sessions, Selby will fight well head to head, be tougher in the crucial moments and be able to tie Murphy up.

Big stakes tomorrow. Murphy can truly cement his legacy as an all time great (if he hasn't already), while Selby will surely take a huge step forward and enter the top 5 players in history, surpassing MJW? I wonder who Neil Robertson would rather win? He's big on history and makes up the trio with these two.

Come on Murphy, though! I'd love to see his attacking style win it.

I didn't think so in this match particularly. His run of the ball made more difference than any gamesmanship in the closing frames. Wish he'd muffed the final blue though, giving it the big celebration before he'd potted the winning ball. I suppose it wasn't the big' come on' that Peter Ebdon (against Stephen Lee I think) when he still needed a whole frame or anything like that though

He is the pantomime baddie that snooker needs, but currently we need a better goodie ( like Lisowski for me) to step up and fight him to make viewing great.

I agree 100% though the BBC in particular have always tried to put Selby in more of a protagonist-light. They've always pushed back against any idea that he's defensive, mind games etc. At least before this week.

Whether watching or not, I'll root for Murphy in this final as a great cueist who has only 1 world title as oppose to Selby who is a miserable looking ******* who has won 3 and still looks hard done by.
