Nah clive everton once said ‘ there are those who have won the world championship and those who haven’t ‘ , implying crucible winners were a cut above , i never ascribed to that train of thought but i do think in the collective scheme of things when you weigh white’s record against established pro’s who turned pro in the 90’s and players since and his record in the millennium in a physically negligible game it all doesn’t measure too favourably so i’ll stick to my take as well.

Freesport showed the premier league snooker last year as well, but haven't seen any other snooker there over the last couple of years. They've had the english pool on there for a few years as well.

fair point mate ,it all makes for good discussion ,as for the free sport coverage I’m not sure about the commentary with every player in the event commentating on matches ,some are ok ,some are a bit iffy

I was looking forward to this as the start of the new snooker season, then I just found out that matches are Best-of-5 until the quarterfinals and even then only Best-of-7 to the final. That's ridiculous. I'll skip that one.
And on top of this it's even 100.000 pounds for the winner, so they reckon it has the same value as a crucible semifinal...

I believe this one (in UK) is on ITV4, all sessions covered live.

....so they reckon it has the same value as a crucible semifinal...

...or the world Grand Prix, best of 7 ,9, then 13. And worth 20-30 thousand more ranking points than several longer events like the European Masters, the national opens and the German Masters.

It's another event back on the calendar and that means more snooker to watch, which should be a good thing, but they've totally devalued it for me with this format.

Live stream on FB, don't know for how long it would be available. I search with the keywords, live snooker or snooker live on FB and get one or more video streams.
