i think his position is just as much a reflection of the tour strength in depth as anything else , he's got so much experience and with these q school top ups he probably doesn't feel it much anyway

When I saw Hendry missing poorly his trademark shot (splitting the pack off the blue) I thought it's a bit sad seeing him playing nowadays. However, I am curious to see if this comeback experience will change him as a pundit: his commentaries are always top quality when he discusses the players' tactics and strategy options during a match, but he is often too harsh towards players that miss or make mistakes. Perhaps his recent games will make him a bit more forgiving towards colleagues.... ?

He played well tonight, followed up his ton with a pair of 90+s and a 50+. He gets to play Robertson next.

He's a great man, but a little humbling will not do him any harm. If this return doesn't do this to him then I guess nothing will, I'll still listen to him either way, but it will certainly seem harsh of him not to relent a little after this experience.
