I can’t say I’ve really seen him play enough to notice. I think at the end of the match he was chatting to Neil about his cue?

i posted here in march saying that i enjoyed his match vs lisowski in the gibraltar open and just as an observation try to think about the psychology of potting when you're in the ascendency in a frame and haven't seen him sign in here since , i don't know maybe it was purely his decision anyway but it does seem very timely and i wasn't in any way remotely taking a dig i actually said i enjoyed the match and that there was very little to choose between the two players apart from said potting , oh well.

Quite hard to watch a good young player trying to step up and break through, struggling with his potting like that, you can feel the pressure on them as underdogs but it just looked like he was maybe trying too hard and make sure of pots. Bet he never misses them in practice, so difficult though to bring that game to the bigger stage.

what a match between un nooh and zhengyi , nothing given everything earned , also i heard that a lot of thai players can't further their careers because of money problems , its a shame but maybe they can form their own associations and get their tv companies in on it i dont know.

Un Nooh gets a max and loses the match. He has lost a lot frequently. Being so far far home and his family must be a huge weight to carry . Many of the players have to endure it

true but its just hard to win at pro level anyway and so it should be , there was nothing wrong with un nooh's form i don't think , in the penultimate frame he was 55 behind with 51 on got the snooker but eventually lost on the colours , he's a good player who should only be playing good players and he's good enough to pay the bills i think. , all good really.

I always thought Robbo is deservedly a top player, but seeing him playing relaxed, in the qualifiers, really makes his quality shine relative to excellent but not-(yet)-top players: a truly phenomenal potter , clearing the table whenever he wants, as soon as he can.

Yeah, he's a class act. Bit of an underachiever though? Seems strange saying that as he's got 20 ranking titles under his belt, but only 1 World Championship, be a shame if it stays that way.

Agreed, he is top top class act. I guess it's shows the talent we have at the top of the game as to why he has not won more yet, but I feel his longevity will be strong! He's fit and has a decent mind set I think for the longer game. I think there's a lot more in the tank, but also think he needs to play his own game and stop trying to compete with others on their terms. He's strong enough to dictate the pace and style of play in his matches and possibly only lacks in small terms of confidence against the very best, thinking he has to change pace and tactics to compete.

I believe his A game is good enough to compete with anyone on any terms "if" he is fully confident in the match he is in. Basically he needs to believe just a little more than he does, he's got it all for sure.

He's got my favourite cue action, looks rock solid and when he's firing on all cylinders he's as good as anyone.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Carter lost 5-1. I never expected that. Not so early atleast.

He’s had a few bad results lately, seems to be falling away from the pack.

jimmy whirlwind white of london town , straight out of the sweeney minder and the professionals has just won three frames in a row

edit : oh well not to be , still decent form though , if he keeps that up he might not need another handout for the next two years.
