Is anyone watching Neil Robertson v Andy Hicks? I used to practice with Andy some years ago. The number of 147s he has made against me is ridiculous. If he could play in matches like he does in practice I think he could win something. But he never seems to.
Interesting to hear Ronnie talk about tips ,he loves the Elks but like everyone knows you get duff ones and need to find a decent one in the box ,but when you do their ad good as anything , just a hassle re tipping more often to find that decent one

Not sure why Elkmaster can’t make consistent tips while other brands can. Yes they are more expensive but I’m sure Elk fans would be willing to pay extra if it meant better consistency .
Not sure it cost that much extra in the manufacturing process to produce more consistent tips though . The extra money you have to pay for consistency in other brands is driven by consumer need and lack of consistency in traditional brands.
I’d be surprised if Elk aren’t looking into this issue especially given now that Ronnie has come out and said this . All those Ronnie fans now will be clambering over each other to find out what tip he is using so they can play like him

just a heads - up , amateur paul deaville looked very handy yesterday winning his match , bet365 are offering 12/1 for him to beat chang bingyu today scheduled for around 3 pm , thats very generous.

When do you know its a duff one, or is it just obvious when you've played for a bit?
I re tipped my cue two weeks ago ,got two crap elks that went soft and lost the shape ,tip end on one kept going flat ,third one is perfect ,just a hassle sometimes .I would rather pay a little more for better quality control as I do like elks .Maybe what Ronnie says might kick them up the ass a bit .Probably true about the Ronnie fan boys as well

miscues , delaminates , going soft , not keeping a dome shape , fluffy hairy bits on the edge , crumbling down the sides ,or generally not feeling right when played in .Any of those .
So my first question of this new season is why does Ronnie have to play the qualifying round? Thought his ranking would take care if that?
Most events in the season are "flat 128" draw -Barry Hearn brought these in years back. "got to play to win, no free rides sonny-boy"
There are only a few events that have seeded draws, the World's (top 16 to the TV rounds (L32)), Masters (top 16 only), and a couple of Chinese events to ensure top players come to the event (of course not much on out there at the mo)
is it just me or is Kyren Wilson playing on table 1 this morning?
Did his whinge the other day force the TD to move him or is it that in the schedule he is the top ranking player playing this session and hence his rank gives him that privilege?

He's definitely the top ranked player who is on this morning. But, it's evening in China and Xiao Guodong and Cao Yupeng are also playing, so I expect the Chinese audience will mostly be watching them. Also, morning coverage is Eurosport app only in the UK (not TV), and the venue only about a quarter full. Tuesday morning internet snooker viewing is not known to bring in vast audiences. So, however he got on Table 1, I doubt that it increased his profile very much. lol.
I am not a fan of Kyren's whinging, as you can probably tell.
