So, however he got on Table 1, I doubt that it increased his profile very much. lol.

I am not a fan of Kyren's whinging, as you can probably tell.
lol it does not for me
    Up the TSF! :snooker:

      lol. Nor me, pal.

I just don't enjoy watching him. I do not enjoy watching that odd ass wiggling, feet shuffling behaviour before every shot. Nor do I enjoy listening to his whinging.

He may well be a really nice guy away from the table. I don't know. He's just not my cup of tea.

This morning I've noticed a couple of other players making the cue 'seemingly' bend on the final backswing before a deep screw or other kind of power shot. I only ever noticed Judd and Ronnie before.

Did we ever determine what is going on when this happens?

Maybe we should start a Kryton Wilson bashing thread , something like

no 1 What do like about Wilson = feck all
no2. What do you dislike about Wilson = anyone got a blank book as thick as war and peace

Let me be arrogant, I feel so since this morning.
I think Kyren is a nice bloke off the table, but he might have some kind of misperception of himself on the table. I remember one interview in which he said that as an amateur he was more flamboyant than now: I started laughing loudly! (I cannot think of any top player less flamboyant than him). I wrote another post earlier about seeing him live against Un-Nooh, and how everybody in the room could see (and hear!) the difference between a natural touch and a manufactured technique, despite the fact that KW will probably win much more.
This kind of "Table-1 complaints" reveal a possible complex - he does not feel as appreciated "by the crowds" as Ronnie or Judd - but let's face it: he is just not Ronnie nor Judd, looking good on TV is to a great extent an innate thing!
My very arrogant suggestion to KW would be to seek motivation in other things -- like winning everywhere, even on Table 10 -- and drop this thing about TV appearances, I am sure both the crowds and the fellow players will appreciate him for his results on the table at the end of the story.
Another very arrogant suggestion is: please stop saying at each interview "I am a fighter", it is probably true, but let the others judge!

OK, I am done with my afternoon rant. All the best to everybody here

Chris Wakelin is playing some fantastic stuff.
Brilliant from Wakelin, beats Hendry 4-0 played superb.

Wakelin played superb that’s for sure ,but would he have done that against Selby ,Trump , Higgins etc .Hendry was hammered and I still think it’s a mistake him coming back .

It wouldn't surprise me if Hendry had some kind of deal (meaning money) regarding his comeback. Maybe Barry Hearn worked something out before he handed over the reins.

Think of all the Chinese viewing figures (money) they would get out of a 7 times world champion comeback. Plus interest from sponsors and basically everyone else, including me. lol.

I asked hendry once why is there so few tables about that can get new players equipped to play at pro snooker level , its like its only for people of a certain financial standing , his face lit up when i mentioned financial standing and he more or less said yes thats the way it should be , he’s about as much inspiration as a used coffee cup for me.

Hendry was never bothered about anyone else ,or anything else when he was in his prime , his game went south in his early 30's and unfortunately its no better now , probably worse tbh .Hendry more than likely came back for the money , he's a spender and always has been , its all in his book .Considering what he won his financial position is probably sketchy these days .On another point he's not really a good advertisement for sight right either

hendry's almost a poster child/victim/beneficiary of the way pro snooker and its links or lack of it with the amateur game have been run like forever , if there was a well run amateur set up in the uk like the chinese billiards and snooker association there would have been more good players coming through in the 80's 90's and 00's and he wouldn't have been so much of a figurehead in the game.
