Taking 2 parts of 2 different kinds of context paragraphs makes it totally wrong.
To clarify, having his poor holier-than-thou / too much money attitude to myself, and others who watch the sport, isn't something to be proud of. Much like Hamilton! But he's been a pr|ck for years & years.
You can try to win this discussion as much as you want. I was obviously taught wrong when I was taught to play with gentlemanly conduct & not have digs at people no matter how good (or not so In my case) I was. But hey ho. Enjoy the snooker chaps.

    • Trump is far better for the game than ROS was back in the day, mental breakdowns every tournament, you won’t see Trump shaking hands and walking off after a few frames in a tant…

      • I’m still trying to work out why Trump would get his face kicked in ,he doesn’t seem very arrogant to me ,he’s good and knows it , but that’s about it

        • I think Judd’s a little misunderstood. You’ve got to have an awful lot of self-belief if you’re going to reach the top at anything, and with that belief comes a little arrogance. Nothing wrong with modesty, but look at all the top players. They all had their own type of bravado. That’s why the truly humble ones don’t win much, with the exception of JH.

Very true. I must admit I rarely pay any attention to the poster’s flag

None of your words or train of thought seem "gentlemanly" to me.

                • Meanwhile, John’s getting his face kicked in at the moment. No recovery from this, I fear. Should get time for a good few episodes of Red Dwarf at this rate, so there is that.

                  • Trump has always seemed quite grounded to me and talks about having dinner with his mum. Tours with his brother which must be nice for his mum to know they are both looking after each other and is always respectful of his opponent in post match interviews win or lose. If he wants to spend his winnings on flash cars good luck to him but no doubt there will come a time when he starts thinking about his future and kids and grand kids. Enjoy it while he can and I've never read a story of him falling out of nightclubs. If he's clever he can build up a strong brand and make as much from sponsorship over the next few decades as he makes from winnings.

The way he just took the 12th frame was poetry. Was hoping for more of a match tonight but Trump is playing as good as John did 20 years ago.

                      • Yeah, not a good night for Scotland's pro players... Peter Wright is getting his ass whipped, too. Gerwyn Price by the way really is a *****. Just saying.

                        Cheers.

edit: that was a 5 letter word with a p and a rick

                            • Great performance from Judd, really closed the game down and controlled thing brilliantly. This new side to his game makes him a complete player who I hope will be a good match for Mark Selby for years to come.
