Displaywise they're turning snooker into a show for imbeciles, the only classy thing left in the game is the game itself. Guess I'm more of a traditionalist.

You’ve not been watching snooker too long then ,Ronnie recently called anyone out side the top 32 muppets .he says on plenty of occasions smaller tournaments are nothing more than practice sessions for him ,let’s not forget in a best of 19 frame match he conceded ,shock hands with Hendry at 4-1 down and walked off ,,said he couldn’t be arsed to play in the Masters in 2020 threatened not to play at the Worlds on a few occasions until Barry Hearn talked him round .Alex Higgins was a spur of the moment type person ,Ronnie is more calculated .Ronnie likes to dish it out but acts like a spoilt child sometimes when it’s not flying for him .I’m not doubting Osullivan’s a genius but he’s no saint .

I missed that ,just making a cuppa ,most of the Rasson table are are composite laminate on the rails which is rock hard and good quality ,their normal black/ silver table incorporated Aramith in the rails ,this one will probably incorporate some bamboo .Looks bloody nice whatever .

More info on the new table here on the Rasson site, it's called the Strong || , looks great, pockets remind me of the BCE. They call the phenolic resin that they somehow compress into the bamboo veneer "Adamath" think they've branded it as that. Looks a real winner to me. I hope it's bye bye to gold legs forever tbh!

Think it’s just under 8 grand new ,yes it’s very similar to the Westbury ,it’s a stunning looking table .Unfortunately we’re stuck with Star for a bit longer as they have the main contract ,but Rasson do want it that’s for sure .

New dress code was bought in after consultation with Trump. They are trying to appeal to a younger audience I guess and I can’t really blame them .

Judd never has been the brightest candle on the cake... maybe that pool trip to the US made him "think". Did Earl Strickland talk to him?


I'm pretty sure taking away one of the most unique features of the whole snooker "thing" - the gentlemen style thing - won't serve the game nor will it help "progress" to explore new markets. They tried that with the dotted ball or the shot clock, it all failed miserably. Snooker isn't darts, that whole razzmatazz approach does not work... but hey, maybe if they got rid of the refs and allowed the crowds to dress up, drink and sing.
