  • I don't really care if he has a world class winning game, I'd rather watch paint dry....

        • Just saw the replay of John Higgins and his wrist shaking on the backswing pause before he missed the green in the first frame. Never seen John do that before.

          • I'm lovin'it . I'd rather have this than the 2 previous one sided matches any day. TBH, I don't even notice the slowness of play, too busy enjoying the match, but I can understand how much it must annoy you, if you're bothered by that sort of thing.

            • The later finish the better for me. I want John to win but also for it to go to 5-5. But after that missed red John is going to lose.

              • Why are they making such a big thing about JH’s trembling cue arm, like it’s something new? With the diversity and quality of camerawork we’ve had for the last couple of decades, I noticed this ages ago. And JH isn’t the only one whose cue arm trembles like that.

                • I love watching Yan play. He has that silky, silent manner of MJW.

                  • Glad that Ken and other genuine commentators have learned to go quiet whenever Phil Yates starts spouting facts or giving one of his generic statements. Sometimes he doesn't even make sense. In an earlier match when someone fouled when going in to the pack off the blue he suggested it was an occupational hazard for that to happen 'at this level'. What? If anything it should be the opposite of an occupational hazard. Hope one day I can choose to have one or both commentators muted but still be able to listen to the match.

                      No commentary watching on bet365.

He simply lacks the knowledge. Earlier Yan played a typical shot-to-nothing. He missed the pot and the cueball finished glued to the baulk cushion. Phil then chirps in with β€œOoh, and just look where the cueball’s finished!” but in a tone that clearly suggested Yan had been lucky.

                              Wouldn't that be nice.

That was a really tough match, well done John, brilliant finish under the circumstances. Just hoping he has enough left in the tank for tomorrow, if he does, it should be a corker.

                              • I am wondering where Steve Davis is nowadays. I haven't seen him doing the punditry for the past few months. I have not seen the BBC and ITV4 broadcasts. Has he been on there?
